On 8 February, the medals for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games were unveiled. The Eiffel Tower has been chosen to embody the identity of the upcoming Games. This famous landmark, nicknamed the Iron Lady, has undergone several renovation campaigns since it was originally constructed. Some of the metal components have been permanently removed and carefully preserved. In an exceptional move especially for the Paris 2024 Games, the Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel has allowed these pieces of metal to be used on the Olympic medals. The medals’ design, created by the LVMH group's jewellery brand Chaumet, was based on three sources of inspiration: the hexagon (geometrical shape of France), radiance and gem-setting.

PARIS-LE BOURGET: EXECUJET GREENIFIES ITS OPERATIONS

Paris-Le Bourget is the first site in Europe where ExecuJet has opted for 100% electric ground service equipment so as to reduce its carbon footprint. Credit: All rights reserved.

ExecuJet, the FBO (Fixed Base Operator) service provider, is playing the green card at Paris-Le Bourget. The operator has just taken delivery of all-electric ground support equipment including a baggage truck, tanker, pushback truck, electric ground units, etc. This is a first for an FBO at the business aviation hub, which will thus optimise the decarbonisation of its airside operations.“ This initiative lends credibility to our strategy, which is to have 100% electric equipment at Paris-Le Bourget by the end of 2025. The trial carried out a few months ago with “Touchée verte” also revealed the potential for equipment electrification”, said Sébastien Couturier, Managing Director of the airport.

“With Télémaque, you get a lot more than you give! You rediscover real values and feel really useful”, confides Kadi Koné, Administrative Manager within the Passenger Process Division at Paris-Orly, who chose to take part in the Télémaque programme. Supported by Groupe ADP's Citizen Commitment Division, this programme offers volunteer employees from partner companies the opportunity to support young people from so-called "fragile" areas, from secondary school through to Baccalaureate level for the general stream and Bac +2 for the vocational stream. Kadi mentors Marine Chen, a 17-year-old schoolgirl and brilliant final-year student, with whom she meets almost every Saturday. All Groupe ADP employees have the option to become a mentor and give up their time to support a young person!
